Alcúdia's beaches (Majorca)
Sa Platgeta
Sa Platgeta is the largest beach in the area of Cap des Pinar, a military area which only can be accessed by sea. It's not permitted to anchor within 250 metres from the coast. Boat skippers who want to sail to this place have to take special care when sailing by the Cova des Plom, la Punta Sabater, la Negra y la de Pagès. After that, just enjoy the majesty of this place, a nature wonder where some unique species nest, such as the osprey, the peregrine falcon, the cormorant, the woodlark and the pipit. Therefore, this place has been declared Area of Special Protection for Birds and Natural Area of Special Interest.
The beach is 45 metres long and 50 metres wide. Nearby there's a bucolic pier and an old thatched hut amongst thousands of pine trees that fill this paradise . The light turquoise water makes out a sandy seabed full of pebbles.
