Cultural Routes
Es Coll Baix
This cultural route wanders along the so called dry-stone-walled tracks (marges), very common on the island. A few kilometes later you'll walk through a natural area among pine groves that will lead you to another spectacular place in Alcúdia, the beach of Es Coll Baix. At this point you can continue the trip to Sa Talaia, the highest peak in Alcúdia. Both routes can only be done on foot.
ROUTE
- Departing from Porta de Xara at Carrer de Creu, follow Carrer del Molinot, then take Carrer Jaume II,
- Turn left, and then right and continue straight on for 100 metres. Turn left again into Camí de S'Alou and follow it for a couple of kilometers.
- Turn right into the Camí de la Muntanya and follow it for another two kilometres until you reach a little shelter.
- From there follow the signs towards the path and you'll get there in about 30 minutes.
- To go to Sa Talaia follow the road that splits to the left at Es Coll Baix for about an hour until your hit the track that goes to Sa Talaia from the Hermitage of La Victòria. From this point it will only take about five minutes to get to the top.
