This cultural route starts at Porta de Mallorca and will take you to Sant Martí's Puig and Cave. The main part of the trip wanders along rural and mountain paths. From Camí del Poble Nou you'll be able to turn off and climb to the top of the mountain. This part can only be walked. If you've come to this point by bike there's a bike park where you can chain your bike. It is a brief 25 minute-long climb to the top. The ascent ends at Sant Martí's Cave, a natural cave linked to the first Christian worship in this area.

Puig de Sant Martí is the mountain located southeast of Alcúdia. It has two peaks and from its summits you can have a scenic view over Alcúdia town, the harbour, the mountain, Alcúdia and Pollensa bays and a great deal of Tramuntana Mountain Range. From the summit to the south you can have a marvellous view over Pla de Mallorca and S'Albufera.
According to historians, this site is linked to the first Christian worship in the area. A staircase carved out of the rock grants access to the natural cave. There are two chapels, one mediaeval and one gothic, with round-arched portals in the main hall dedicated to Sant Martí and Sant Jordi respectively. They were built after the Catalan conquest during the 13th and 14th centuries.
