These are some of the most singular and valued flowers that can be seen in Mallorca.
- Germander (Teucrium polium): Like the Eternal Flower it grows along the seashore and in the mountains. A medicinal plant used for colds and fevers to be inhaled in a steam bath.
- Foxglove (Digitalis dubia): Protected species, found only on the Balearic Islands and characteristic of rocky mountain areas.
- Rockroses: There is no doubt that these are some of the loveliest flowers to be found on the islands.
- Wild Carrot (Daucus carota): Tiny, white or pink flowers with umbrella-like heads which form groups. This flower blooms on path edges from May to June.
- Myrtle (Mytus communis): This is a species which is very popular for its medicinal values, its aromatic essences and its spectacular flowers
- Eternal Flower (Helichrysum stoechas): It forms yellow carpets with stems and foliage of shining silver and covers the sandy and rocky places along the Balearic littoral belt.
- Sea Holly (Eryngium maritimun): It grows on beaches and dunes. It has bluish flowers and grey-green thick fleshy and spiny leaves.
- Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis): It's a characteristic species of the Mediterranean garrigue and pine woods. It is valued for its fragrance and for its medicinal properties.
- Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare): Widespread in fields and vineyards. It's widely used as seasoning in, for example, the traditional olives trencades. It is fragrant and stimulates the appetite.
- Prickly Pear (Opuntia ficus-indica): This is a species which originated in Central America and is well adapted on the islands. It used to be a tradition for all houses in agricultural areas to have their prickly pear tree (chumbera).
- Fig (Ficus carica): It's a species native to the Mediterranean basin. It's found wild in cliffs and torrents. When they're cultivated, fig trees may have such large crowns that in certain areas they are supported by stakes.
