Puig de San Martí and Son Fe
In the protected area of Puig de San Martí which is 184,6 ha large, there's plenty of pine groves in the western part of the mountain, meanwhile in the areas that have suffered fires càrritx (Ampelodesmos mauritanica) is the prevailing specie and in the rest there are plenty of crop lands and woodlands. There's an important cave, Cova de Sant Martí, with two protected rare bat species. There are a lot of endemic protected species such as palmitos, a small palm species, which is plentiful in the pine groves.
Puig of San Martí is very popular among hikers. Lots of organized groups come on foot, by bike or on horseback to enjoy this moving nook. There's a restricted access to the top through an asphalted track for those who want to do paragliding or hang-gliding.
