Transport

Alcúdia is located in the North of Mallorca, between two bays that harbour some of the most outstanding beaches in the Mediterranean Sea. You'll find a wide variety of them: fine sand beaches, pebble beaches, big ones, little coves… These are our beaches.

Flying within the islands

In less than 30 minutes you can fly to any other island from Palma. The airlines use small turboprop airplanes to cover these lines. They are a great opportunity to enjoy the archipelagos diversity. The airlines running inter-island flights are:

To fly

The fastest form to get to Alcúdia is by plane. Mallorca is linked to the rest of the world through Son Sant Joan airport, which is 60 km away from Alcúdia (about 50 minutes by car). It is one one of the busiest airports in Europe. More than 20 different airlines fly here, which makes it very cheap to visit our island.

There are three main national airlines (Iberia, Spanair and Air Europa) who keep Mallorca conected to many different cities in Spain, and the rest of the islands.

The great influx of Brittish and German tourists has made it cheap and easy to fly from those countries to Mallorca. Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and France are other important issuing countries. The main tour operators work along with Alcúdia offering package holidays all year round. Many low coast airlines like Easyjet, Air Berlin, Vueling, Bmibaby, Ryanair, VolareWeb or Virgen Express link Spanish and European cities with Mallorca for less than 50 euros.

Airport

Son Sant Joan airport is located in the south 10 km away from Palma 60 km away from Alcúdia. There's a motorway between the airport and Alcúdia, so you can cover this distance in 50 minutes. There are many buses that link the airport with Palma, and with the bus and train stations.

Son Sant Joan has many car parks, shops, restaurants, stands, tourist information desks and car rental desks.
